We are a unique organization offering clients access to a team of Professional Partners from diverse areas of expertise with the paramount importance of placing each client’s interests first.
My Professional Background
For over 40 years, I worked in the Financial Services Industry offering Planned Estate Services. During this time, I earned the Chartered Financial Consultant and the Chartered Advisor for Senior Living designations from the American College. I also obtained an Investment Advisory Representative designation and provided money management services to individual and corporate clients.
During my tenure in the Financial Services Industry, I had numerous clients involved in Real Estate investing and I became familiar with the field and began to enjoy dealing in it.
In 2011, I became licensed as a real estate agent and established Realty Consulting of Kentuckiana (RCofKY) to initially provide real estate consulting services to homeowners and investors on a” fee-for-service” basis in the same manners as attorneys, accountants and other financial advisors receive compensation. I conducted my previous consulting practice on this basis for over 30 years and continue to do so today.
Understanding Real Estate Consultants Duties
Today there is confusion growing about the term “Real Estate Consultant” as more and more real estate agents rename themselves using this or similar terms.
The definition of Real Estate Consultants is they function as “behind the scenes” experts. They perform extensive research to help guide clients’ decision-making during every step of a project. Rather than focusing on a transaction, their job is to ensure overall investment success for the client and their compensation depends on the type of work they do, but most real estate consultants are paid on a flat or hourly fee. They do not receive commission income for their endorsers,
I pride myself that I am a full-time real estate consultant and a member of the International Association of Real Estate Consultants.
Realty Consulting of Kentuckiana
Over the past decade, RCofKY’s activities have gravitated towards servicing corporate clients in the areas of real estate inspections, data collection and evaluations. Today, while almost 90% of my practice is servicing corporate lenders and investors, I continue to provide real estate consulting and specially notary services to individuals.
The Additional of Specially Notary Services
In 2021, I diversified to add Notary Public services for individuals needing documents notarized. In the process of receiving my commission, I discovered that no training or education requirements were necessary to become a Notary Public. I sought out training information and joined the National Notary Association (NNA) to enroll in their basic Notary Education Training. I later also joined the American Society of Notaries for their additional education sources.
While completing this training, I became aware of the number of services offered by professional notaries that required a commitment of time and money to complete the additional training to earn Certification in their area of choice. With my experience in Financial Services, and my love of Estate Planning, I choose to specialized as an Estate Planning Notary, and a Notary Signing Agent. I have since become Certified in each of my chosen areas.
I provide Mobile Notary Services which eliminates the need for my clients to travel to my office. I meet them at the location and time of their choice.
